Coming Soon from Brotherhood Productions!

October 9, 2009

We just put up a brand new “preview website” of Brotherhood Productions!  Check it out  at http://www.brotherhoodproductions.tv   As of right now, it contains contact information, producer bio’s, future production info, and a link to our blog.  Most importantly, it has the new trailer for “Johnny’s Leaving,” which was cut by Kristen Williamson!  The full version of our website will premiere on Thanksgiving, containing past projects, cast and crew interviews, future project news, and access to project websites.

I also met recently with Kali and Owen Rucker (fellow producer and DIT on “Johnny’s Leaving) about a script they had recently finished titled “Tag Team.”  Their script follows two young adults finding each other through their friends, underground hip-hop and very obscure sexual behavior.  Kali and Owen take the directorial chair with production starting at the end of 2009.

A schedule has also been established for “Single Number” as well.  The film is currently in pre-production and production will begin in mid-April.  Stay tuned!  Two more events are being planned within the next 4 months!

Its Been A While…

July 20, 2009

Dear Brotherhood Viewers,

Sorry it has been a while since our last update.  Production on “Johnny’s Leaving” did go quite smoothly, but post-production has taken some time.  Since wrapping in early May, Owen Rucker (our Post-Production supervisor and editor) had to leave the project due to time constraints.  Paul Battaglini (Producer and co-owner) has been living in San Francisco to work on a television show for Animal Planet, “Weird, True & Freaky.”

But just because of slight setbacks, doesn’t mean we have stopped working.  Kali has now taken over the editing process; cutting the film he so wonderfully directed.  Jon Flores (on-set sound) is going to handle the sound mixing as well.

Paul is working exceptionally hard on “Weird, True & Freaky,” and might be forced to relocate from the New York area to the San Francisco Bay Area.  Because the “Brotherhood” bond will never be broken, instead of abandoning the company, Brotherhood Productions has been planning for possible expansion.

Richard is currently handling all business on the east coast while Paul is away.  But before Paul left in mid-June, Brotherhood Productions had found its next two projects: “Single Number” and “Saturday Detention.”

“Single Number” follows Samuel Malloy, a lonely IT customer service operator whose parents have recently died.  All alone from family and love, Samuel is mysteriously greeted by Grabriella, a pseudo-paranormal figure that hopes to help him find love in his life.  “Single Number” is written by Brotherhood Productions co-owner Paul Battaglini and being produced by Richard Wyche.

Richard Wyche has also written “Saturday Detention,” which will be produced alongside “Single Number.”  “Saturday Detention” follows high school student Brandon, who finds himself amongst eternal boredom in the epitome of school punishment.  Throughout serving his detention, Brandon realizes his character defects and faults through his peer Griff, who is there for eerily similar circumstances.

Both films are in pre-production and to be released at the same time.  Release dates are TBA.  If you have any questions, comments or to inquire more information, feel free to e-mail Brotherhood Productions at info@brotherhoodproductions.tv.  Thank you and we hope you come back!

Day 2 – Lunch Update

May 2, 2009

Day 2 – 5:15 p.m.

Ok lunch break has given me the time to keep everyone posted!  We had really fallen behind schedule around 1:00 p.m.  Kali is extremely detail oriented and wants to make sure his film is perfect.  We are more than sure this film will be perfect but the entire crew (including myself) had lost track of time completely!

Brent being a great Assistant Director had gotten the crew back on track!  Owen and I have been overlooking some of the footage so far and even with a barebones equipment list, Leighton is still able to pull off professional quality images.

Lunch is about to end and everyone needs to get back to work!  Surprisingly, people haven’t fallen asleep while working since the average sleep time for the crew has been about 3 hours.  Check back again!

Great Planning/Busy Is Good

May 1, 2009

Day 1 – 3:13 p.m.

We fell a little behind schedule with Leighton and I picking up our equipment.  Traffic in New York City is awful.  Thank god we we gave ourselves a lot of extra time for prep.  While we were out, the remaining crew set up the room for tomorrow.

Even with the extra time the crew has been staying busy, covering every single aspect of today and tomorrow.  Owen and I have been doing scheduling and logistical work, making sure every mistake can be repaired.

Derek McAlister came in to rehearse for Sunday’s shoot.  Kali says “He’s just an amazing actor.”  Kudos to Brent for pointing us to backstage.com.

Everything is still on schedule, I’ll keep you posted!

Paul!

The First Posting!

April 10, 2009

Welcome to the Brotherhood Productions blog!  Here we will be posting all types of updates on pre-production, production and post on all of our work.  We’ll also keep you posted on any updates with our crew, website and any events.

Last week we just had our fundraiser event for our first production “Johnny’s Leaving.”  Held at Gallery 61 in South Orange, everything was more than fantastic.  Here are some of the photos, taken by Frank O’ Leary (another South Orange based artist).  All of the photos will be posted soon on our website, http://www.brotherhoodproductions.tv
